Game rules for Poolbauer
A game for one or more water-loving builders.

Contents:

  • 12 building blocks

Gameplay:

Players play a complete round on their own.

The player rolls two dice. They choose one of them and place it in front of them; the other goes back to the pile of dice.

Starting with the second die to be placed, the new die must be placed adjacent to or on top of another die.

This creates a pool area with a perimeter (consisting of wooden frames and/or platforms). Additionally, the outer design must be optimized.

Points are awarded once all blocks are placed:

Pool: Points equal to the number of fully enclosed water areas × floor level, though parts of the pool may be on different floors. The view from above is what counts here. Multiple enclosed pools are also possible.
Windows: One point for each window that faces outward on the side.
Door: 1 point if the door is on the lower floor and has been placed the correct way.
Unenclosed pool areas: One penalty point for each pool space if the water area is not completely enclosed.
Incorrect windows: One minus point for each window that does not earn a plus point.
Incorrect door: 1 minus point if the door is placed incorrectly.

End of game:

The game ends when all the blocks have been placed. The goal is to score as many points as possible. If multiple players are competing against each other, the player with the most points wins.
