Game Rules for Sharking

An action game for up to 4 players in which you have to feed your own sharks and at the same time protect your own fish from being eaten.

Contents:

  • 4 x 3 fish (player colors)
  • 4 neutral fish (white)

Preparation:

Each player chooses a player color and receives a white fish. The starting player is the player who last stood on a surfboard.

How to play:

The starting player takes all the colored fish in both hands, forming a bowl. They shake the fish and then let them flow through their hands, so that they fall onto the table without flying far apart, thus lying close together. Fish lying on their sides are fish, while standing fish are sharks. Sharks eat all fish (not other sharks) that are in the direction of their mouths. Sharks receive one point for each fish, and a negative point is recorded for the owner of the fish (not their own) for each fish eaten.

The total displayed after dropping the fish can still be changed by placing the white fish. Starting with the starting player, players take turns carefully throwing their white fish into the crowd in such a way that the most positive changes are possible. White fish are scored like other fish, but can also become sharks during the action.

Scoring takes place when all white fish have been used. Each shark is scored in turn, and positive and negative points are recorded. Then the starting player changes.

The winner is the first to reach 15 positive points.
